I’ve been working on the Get Your Girl Back movement since Paris, who is now nine, was in my belly. It amazes me that it’s actually taken me this long to birth this movement. Yet the time has come, there is no turning back, this Thursday, at Women Rock the World in NYC I am officially stepping into the legacy I was born to create. I am going to use my power to help women permanently transform their lives-to help them learn to get out of their heads and into the power of their minds. God has groomed me for this moment, has prepared me, given me the words to write the book and finally the courage to step up.
I share this with you because I believe if you are reading this you too have a dream. Following ones true passion, despite the many obstacles that get in the way is never easy. Yet you must keep pressing forward, day by day, year by year. In my case it took close to a decade to bring Get Your Girl Back forth. It wasn’t that I didn’t know what to say or how to write the book, I did. For me it was the fear of being vulnerable, of sharing personal stories, challenges, and information that I typically don’t share. I’m a pro at keeping business and personal things separate. Many people who know me personally have no idea what I do for a living and I like it that way. So with this new movement, to help empower women, I must share my trials, struggles, fears, insecurities and every other wart I have in order to help women break through their own challenges. If I’m not honest and up front how can others possibly learn from me?
So the time has come. Even in the months leading up to this moment I have struggled with sharing personal information, I’ve counseled with my personal coach, and I’ve come to realize that if I don’t do it and I hold back, I will miss my destiny and I’m not willing to do that. I choose courage. I am not going to let fear, which is not even real, steal my dream of helping women on a global scale. You will see Get Your Girl Back get more and more personal over time. So bear with me, it’s not easy but as I come to trust you and you me, I will share more and more. My life is a testament that a woman can do anything she sets her mind to, no matter the obstacles. I am not supposed to be here, living the life I have today but I am. Against all odds, I made it and I want to help other women do the same. Step into their destiny and live a life beyond their wildest dreams. Grab my hand; let’s go together into the future of unlimited possibility- your destiny is calling to you too…
